My research interests are in the field of cell motility and cell-cell signaling which combines application of mathematical and physical methods to biological systems. I am a PhD student working with Dr. Leah Keshet in Mathematical Biology at the University of British Columbia. I completed a masters in physics from Simon Fraser University under the supervision of Dr. E. Palsson. My research focus is on how immune cells enhance the ability of breast cancer cells to form secondary tumors which are the primary cause of death in breast cancer patients. A more in depth understanding of the mechanisms of this system will be key in finding new targets for chemotherapy.
